About the exam
Generative AI Leader
Generative AI Leader is a Google Cloud certification for people who need to understand gen AI from a business point of view. Google positions it around strategic leadership and influence rather than technical implementation, so it suits managers, analysts, consultants and anyone who works alongside AI teams. The exam guide groups the content into four sections: the fundamentals of gen AI, Google Cloud's gen AI offerings, techniques to improve gen AI model output, and business strategies for a successful gen AI solution. Most of the questions ask you to match a business situation to the right concept, product or practice, so knowing the vocabulary and when to use each tool matters more than memorizing details.
Our questions are original, written from the Google Cloud Generative AI Leader exam guide and study guide, and Google Cloud product documentation, and each answer is explained. What to focus on for the Generative AI Leader
- Mixing up product names. Google Cloud has renamed several offerings, so study the names the current exam guide uses and learn what each product is for.
- Skimming the business scenarios. Many questions describe a team's goal and ask which concept or offering fits, so read the whole stem before you choose.
- Treating it as a technical exam. The focus is on choosing and guiding gen AI solutions, not on writing code or configuring systems.
- Skipping the smaller sections. Techniques to improve output (grounding, prompting, sampling settings) and business strategy together carry about 35% of the weight.
- Work through Google's study guide and learning path on Google Skills, and read the definitions it uses for core terms such as foundation model, grounding and RAG.
- Take this free practice test one section at a time, read every explanation, then retake your weakest section.
