Who we are
Universal Exams is a free practice-test website run by Universal Exams. Contact us through the contact form or at info@universalexams.ca.
No accounts, no server-side data
Universal Exams has no user accounts. Your quiz progress, starred questions and theme choice are stored only in your own browser (localStorage) and are never sent to us. Clearing your browser’s site data removes them.
Feedback and contact forms
Messages sent through the feedback and contact forms are stored in a Google Form and a Google Sheet, so Google stores and processes them, often on servers in the United States, under its own privacy policy. Each message includes the address of the page you sent it from, so we can see which quiz or page it is about. Name and email are optional; we use them only to reply to you. We delete messages within 12 months. Please do not include sensitive personal information in a message.
Analytics, advertising and cookies
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and quizzes are used. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and sends data such as your IP address, device and browser details and the pages you view to Google, which may process it on servers outside Canada. We do not send your name, email or quiz answers. To opt out, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or block cookies in your browser settings. The site does not show ads or use advertising cookies.
Your choices
Because we hold almost no personal data (only messages you choose to send), you can ask us to delete or correct a message at any time through the contact form. Depending on where you live, you may have additional legal rights over your personal data; contact us to exercise them.
Children
The site is written for adults preparing for work-related certifications. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and the forms ask for no more than an optional name and email address.
Changes
We will update this page when we add a service that processes personal data, and change the date at the top.
